How Perú got its name
Perú????
When, Spanish
conquistadors started their first explorations to the Southern Emisphere around
early 1530´s, one of the first native groups they met were the Pirus or Virus.
That´s how this country was named Perú.
So, how Machupicchu got
its name???
Machupicchu comes from
Peru´s native language named Quechua and it means……Old mountain
Then I had a question
for all of then….
How many varieties of
potatoes Cusco produces ans are officially registered???
No one in the group could even believe Cusco produces 1930 varietes of
potatoes and all are registered in the National Potatoes Institute of Perú
